The short version. Vorthelm is a card battle game made by ANOVATH. To run an online account we store your email, your player name and your game progress, plus anything you choose to add yourself — chat messages, friends, a profile picture or bio, and feedback you send us.
There are no adverts, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind in this game. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone for marketing. If you play offline, nothing leaves your device at all.
Vorthelm ("the Game") is owned and operated by ANOVATH (www.youtube.com/@anovath), referred to below as "we" or "us". You can reach us at any time at anovathstudio@gmail.com.
This policy explains what we collect when you play, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It applies to the Vorthelm Android app and to vorthelm.online.
Vorthelm can be played offline. In offline mode your progress is saved only in storage on your own device, and no personal data is sent to us at all — there is nothing for us to collect, see or delete. Everything in the rest of this policy applies only once you create or sign in to an online account.
| What | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Email address | To recover your account if you forget your password, and to send important notices about the service. Supplied by you when you register, or by Google if you use Sign in with Google. |
| Username and player name | To sign you in and to identify you in the game. Your player name is visible to other players on leaderboards, in the arena and in clans. Your username and email are not shown to other players. |
| Password | Stored only as a salted cryptographic hash, never as text. We cannot read your password. If you sign in with Google we never receive one. |
| A sign-in token for your device | So you stay signed in between sessions. Stored as a hash. |
| Your Google account identifier | Only if you use Sign in with Google, so we can recognise you next time. We receive your email address and name from Google, nothing else. |
| Game progress | Cards, decks, level, in-game currency, stages cleared, arena score and clan membership — this is your save file, and the game cannot work without it. |
| Chat messages | The messages you send in world, clan and friend chat, so the people you are talking to can read them. World-chat messages stop being shown to anyone after 15 minutes. We keep messages, including ones that are no longer shown or were removed, so we can act on reports of abuse; players can report and block others, and we review reports. |
| Friends | Your friend code, your friends list, friend requests and anyone you have blocked — so the friends feature works. |
| Profile details you choose to add | A short bio, your favourite cards and a profile picture, if you upload one. The picture is stored on our server so your profile can show it. None of these are required. |
| Feedback you send | Answers to in-game surveys and suggestions you write to us, so we can read them and improve the game. |
| Purchase records | If you buy gems, we store the purchase identifier Google gives us, which pack it was, and when. We need this to give you what you paid for and to make sure a purchase is never counted twice. We never see or store your card or payment details — Google Play handles the payment entirely. |
| Time you were last seen | To keep accounts working correctly and to spot abuse. |
| IP address, in server logs | Our server records the network (IP) address of requests in its logs, to keep the service secure — for example to slow down password-guessing and to investigate abuse. These logs are rotated and overwritten over time and are not used to track you. |
Vorthelm contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking software. Specifically, we do not collect:
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising or marketing. Your data is shared only where it is needed to run the game:
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Purchase records are kept longer where we are required to retain them as proof of a transaction. If you ask us to delete your account, see the next section.
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the game, at any
time. Open Settings → Account → Delete Account,
type delete my account to confirm, and it is done immediately.
This removes the account and everything attached to it: your email address, username, player name, profile picture and bio, cards, enhancements, gold and gems, campaign progress, clan membership, friends, chat messages, feedback, mail and Arena record. It is immediate and permanent — there is no grace period and nothing can be restored afterwards, by you or by us.
If you cannot reach the game (for example you have
uninstalled it, or you cannot sign in), email
anovathstudio@gmail.com from the
email address registered to the account, with the subject
Delete my account, and include your player name. We will confirm
and delete it within 30 days.
Records of completed purchases are kept, with your account identifier removed so they no longer identify you. We keep them because payment records are required for financial record-keeping and to stop the same purchase being claimed twice, and they are not used for anything else.
You may also ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it, at the same address.
No service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Vorthelm is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us at anovathstudio@gmail.com and we will delete it. Where you live may set a higher age for agreeing to these terms on your own; if you are under that age, please ask a parent or guardian first.
Your account data is stored on the server that runs the Game. If you are playing from another country, your data is transferred to and processed on that server in order to provide the service you asked for.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict how we use it. We honour these requests for everyone, wherever you are. Write to anovathstudio@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will tell you in the Game. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated policy.
